Gospel star Karangu Muraya has apologized to his fans after facing backlash over comments praising the Social Health Authority (SHA). Karangu, who made the remarks during a visit by Mt Kenya musicians to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, clarified that his sentiments were personal and not influenced by any payment.

In a heartfelt statement posted on his social media platforms, Karangu explained that his earlier comment was not influenced by any form of payment but was rather a genuine testimony. He clarified that SHA had stepped in to pay part of the medical bill for his brother, who has been bedridden since February after a serious road accident.

Karangu’s Apology Statement
“I want to apologize to you all my followers. Sometime back, I mentioned about SHA just because it had paid some money for my brother who had a huge bill after having a road accident. I have been receiving hundreds of insults in my inbox just because of my sentiments.

What I would like to let you know is that I was not paid to say so, I was just giving a true testimony out of excitement. But if my sentiments offended you, please find a place in your heart to forgive me. Your forgiveness will make my brother, who has been bedridden from February, recover. Please forgive us and help me to pray for him.

Paul Muraya, may Jehovah Rapha heal you bro. James 5:16 – ‘Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.’”

Karangu’s apology has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans commending his humility for admitting his mistake and others urging him to continue using his platform to share positive testimonies.
