Political blogger and communication strategist Pauline Njoroge has been forced to issue a public clarification after her relationship became the subject of heated discussions on social media.
The controversy began after Pauline celebrated her 40th birthday on September 14, an event she marked by sharing photos from her colorful party. Among the pictures was one of her alongside a man believed to be her partner. Soon after, the images started circulating widely online, sparking speculation and debate.
Popular online commentator Sue Gacambi alleged that the man in the photos was married with three children and that he had left his wife without explanation to attend Pauline’s party. The claims quickly spread across social platforms, drawing mixed reactions from netizens, with some questioning the circumstances around the alleged relationship.
In response, Pauline took to her official Facebook page to address the matter directly. In a strongly worded post, she dismissed the allegations, saying she had no hand in breaking up a marriage.
“Since the tea masters have decided to make me the subject on these streets, let me make some things clear,” she wrote.
Pauline went on to explain that her partner did not abandon another woman to attend her celebration, terming the claims “the most ridiculous thing” she had heard. She condemned those sharing photos of children and parents in an attempt to fuel controversy, calling it unfair and harmful.
“Life happens. Sometimes two good people meet, try to build something together, and along the way it doesn’t work out. They part ways, move on, and later meet other people with whom they start new chapters,” she noted.
The blogger concluded her statement by saying she would not dwell further on the matter, signing off with: “That’s all I have to say about this matter. Wishing you all a good day friends.”
Pauline’s response has since attracted mixed reactions, with some of her followers defending her right to privacy while others continued to question the circumstances surrounding her partner’s past.
